Amit & Hettel | A Magical Wedding at Kumeu Valley Estate

As a passionate Auckland wedding videographer, I get to witness love in all its beautiful forms. But sometimes, you’re gifted a wedding story that’s bigger than a single day—one that stretches across cultures, continents, and traditions. That was the case with Amit and Hettel.

This incredible couple now lives in Australia but calls New Zealand home. We had the absolute privilege of capturing not one, not two—but three stunning days of celebration. Each day brought its own colour, emotion, and magic.

Day 1: A Grand Indian Wedding at Shri Swaminarayan Temple

The first day was dedicated to their Indian wedding, held at the breathtaking Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Papatoetoe. Hundreds of guests gathered in this sacred space to witness the union of two beautiful souls.

What struck us most was how warm and welcoming everyone was. We weren’t just “the videographers”—we were treated like family. This is the kind of atmosphere that makes our work not just easier, but meaningful.

Day 2: A Twilight Western Ceremony at Kumeu Valley Estate

On the second day, Amit and Hettel switched gears for a western-style twilight ceremony at the stunning Kumeu Valley Estate.

If you haven’t visited this venue, picture this: rustic charm, mature native trees, twinkling fairy lights, and golden-hour light peeking through the hills of Kumeū. It’s a dream location for any Auckland wedding photographer or videographer. The evening was filled with dancing, speeches, and unforgettable moments.

Day 3: Post-Wedding Shoot at the Old Railway Station

To round it all off, we met again for a relaxed post-wedding shoot at the Old Railway Station in Auckland. It was the perfect contrast to the big celebrations—a chance to slow things down and capture just the two of them.

Shoutout to Mala Patel Photography

We were lucky to work alongside the amazing Mala Patel Photography. Her attention to detail and calm presence made the whole experience seamless. When the creative team is aligned, the couple benefits.

A Wedding to Remember

From vibrant Indian traditions to a candlelit Kiwi reception, Amit and Hettel’s wedding was the perfect blend of cultures, families, and love. On behalf of the team at Mata Films, we wish this beautiful couple a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and shared adventures.
